"I picked up a beach music magazine one day and read that the single Robbin and I did had become a "beach music classic" so I headed for Carolina. Barry Bergman (of The Record Bar chain) sent me and some pals into the studio to do a beach album. I did 310 one nighters through the Carolinas the next year. Gained a lot of weight cause we knew where all the good barbeque joints were." |
